WRITING INTERN (STUDIO)
The role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Writing Intern to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller with a keen interest in the entertainment industry.
As a Writing Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, gaining hands-on experience in the production process.
Responsibilities
Content Development: Assist in the creation and development of scripts, screenplays, and other written materials for various documentary/unscripted/corporate projects.
Research: Conduct thorough research on relevant topics to contribute valuable insights and information for script development.
Script Editing: Collaborate with the creative team to review and edit scripts, ensuring consistency, clarity, and adherence to the production house's vision.
Brainstorming Sessions: Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and contribute to the conceptualisation of projects.
Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall creative process.
Administrative Tasks: Assist with various administrative tasks related to script development and production coordination.
Post-production: Assist with subtitling videos and reviewing text in exports.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a relevant degree/diploma program (e.g., Film & TV, Creative Writing, Communications) or a recent graduate.
Strong writing skills with a demonstrated passion for storytelling especially in the documentary/unscripted realm.
Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to incorporate constructive criticism into work.
A genuine interest in the entertainment industry and a desire to learn and grow in a creative environment.
