video journalist (documentary) INTERN
The role
The Video Journalist Intern will create custom content for Our Grandfather Story’s verticals and related social platforms. We’re seeking a creative-minded producer who is passionate about both digital media and native advertising.
Candidates should be interested in what makes someone share and how people communicate online.
The ideal candidate is interested in learning every part of the creative process, including generating ideas for a variety of formats. Candidates should also be proactive workers who are motivated and independent.
Responsibilities
Research and pitch relevant content ideas for production.
Produce, shoot and edit videos for social media publications.
Handle uploads through our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube publishing processes.
Write social copies for publication.
Misc. grip work, production assistance and shooting in studio or on location.
Assist with file management, footage and assets organization.
Requirements
Familiar with Premiere Pro (After Effects, Photoshop and Audition a plus).
Ability to shape a story through editing.
Experience with camera handling.
Interest in telling local stories, documentaries and explainers.
Detail oriented and organised.
Team player with a positive attitude and good work ethic.
