The role

The Social Media (Micro-Content) Intern will strategise and execute social media plans to ensure optimal distribution of Our Grandfather Story’s (OGS) existing content pieces as well as to develop new content for the platforms owned. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the latest trends and the changing social media landscape. He/she should also be passionate about building communities online and making an impact through digital content.

Responsibilities

• Support production of a diversity of micro-content, from graphics to vertical short-form videos (Research, Production, Post, Caption/Thumbnail, Publishing).

• Discover and pitch stories through research and fact-finding.

• Conceptualise and execute new and innovative micro-content ideas.

• Track and analyse content performance.

• Develop strategic social media communication plans to enhance and support OGS’s digital content plans.

• Conceptualise and execute social media campaigns to engage and start conversations with online communities.

• Manage social media platforms to build communities across different channels.

• Collaborate with other teams to ensure consistent brand voice and to achieve needed distribution goals.

• Coordinate and manage social media calendars to ensure project timeline and deadlines are met.
