Senior business development executive

The role

UNFOLD Asia is an independent media group dedicated to entertaining and educating Southeast Asian audiences through innovative storytelling. With a monthly reach of over 10 million viewers across digital media brands like OGS, nOm, and Ribbit.FYI, we are committed to being a regional leader in content creation.

We are seeking a proven sales performer who is goal-oriented and passionate about the media industry. Your role will require you to develop strong relationships with our clients and develop media solutions to unlock business opportunities for the company. You will be directly involved in crafting proposals, pitching and building client relationships with established brands and agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business leads through cold emailing and cold calling, craft media plans and work on campaign proposals

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business leads, focusing on promoting client campaigns 

  • Develop solution selling strategies to onboard new clients, win contract renewals and grow the business and revenue

  • Collaborate closely with the Content Creation team (Editorial & Creatives) to ideate and craft compelling content for client campaigns.

  • Collaborate with client brands directly and with media agencies to develop marketing strategies for the client campaigns

  • Analyze social media marketing and digital media trends to understand audience interests, thereby informing content strategies and client approaches.

  • Generate media plans and proposals on a daily basis to pitch to clients, ensuring alignment with their objectives and UNFOLD Asia’s offerings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in media and advertising sales, with a robust network of agency contacts and client relationships in the local and/or regional space. Experience negotiating long-term deals is preferred.

  • Deep understanding and ability to articulate the value of sponsored content and content creators as integral components of marketing strategies.

  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with a dedication to delivering quality content to our audiences.

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong presence, adept at building rapport with clients at various levels of seniority.

  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethics.
